Running Scripts from
LaurenceHolbrook.com
To run these samples, you may not have to do anything
depending on the security settings you surf the web with - if they won't run
from my site because of your normal security settings, you can either

Add my site as a
trusted site (temporarily, if you wish) -
·
"View the
source", save a local copy on your hard drive and run them from there -
To add my site to your trusted sites
list
·
Open MS Internet
Explorer
·
Click on Tools |
Internet Options | Security Tab
·
Click on Trusted Sites
(Green Circle with a Check Mark)
·
Click on the
"Sites" button
·
If "Require server
verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" is checked, click the
check box to clear it
·
In the "Add this
Web site to the zone:" text box, type
"http://www.LaurenceHolbrook.com", without the quotes
·
Click the
"Add" button
·
If "Require server
verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" was checked, click the
check box to display the check mark as it was before
·
Click "OK"
button
·
Click "OK"
button in the Internet Options Window
You may have to close all MSIE windows and Open a new
MSIE window for the change to take affect - after you have tested the scripts,
you can remove my site from your trusted sites list -
To remove my site from your trusted

Open MS Internet
Explorer
·
Click on Tools |
Internet Options | Security Tab
·
Click on Trusted Sites
(Green Circle with a Check Mark)
·
Click on the
"Sites" button
·
Click on
"http://www.LaurenceHolbrook.com" in the site list to highlight it
·
Click the "Remove"
button
·
Click the
"OK" button
·
Click the
"OK" button in the Internet Options Window
To View source, save a copy and run
locally
Navigate to the page of the script you're interested
in -
·
From MSIE Menu Items,
click on "View" | "Source"
·
From Notepad Menu
Items, click on "File" | "Save As..."
·
In the File SaveAs
Dialog box, choose any location on your local hard drive and file name you
wish, the file type should be ".html" -
·
If Notepad appends the
.txt extension like "MyTestScript.html.txt", you may have to rename
the file to "MyTestScript.html" - in Window's Explorer single click
on the file and press F2 -

Close Notepad and MSIE
-
You can now double click the saved html file and run
the scripts locally -
